"Hello everyone!
I wanted to share with you some fantastic information!
We had 22 students who took the initial entrance/round one exam for HOSA on January 26th 2023.
Of the 22 students who took their test, 6 advanced to the round two exam for HOSA on February 11th 2023. One additional student completed a test that did not have round two.
Of the 6 students who went to the event on Saturday, 5 have made it through from District to the State Competition and will be competing against the entire state in their division at the State Leadership Conference on March 16th-17th 2023!!!!
Please give the following students congrats when you see them in the halls! This is a phenomenal achievement because most (almost all) of the students at the competitions are Junior-Seniors from entirely CTE schools and our students are Freshmen! 3 students even outranked a senior in their division!!!!!
1st place overall in Clinical Nursing - Bayden Nur (9)
2nd place overall in Clinical Nursing - Ramla Jama (9)
3rd place overall in Clinical Nursing - Nestaho Abdurashid (9)
Advancing to State (no ranking for division) - Makayla Salukele (9) and Muna Musse (9)"
