HSA Columbus High School has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first charter school in Ohio to receive official STEAM designation from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW).
The prestigious recognition, unanimously approved by the ODEW STEM Committee, marks HSA Columbus High as a pioneer in STEAM education. The school now joins an elite group of only 17 STEAM-designated schools across Ohio.
This achievement is particularly significant as HSA Columbus High becomes the first STEAM-designated school within the Concept Schools network. The designation, awarded on May 12, recognizes the school's commitment to excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics education.
"This recognition is well-deserved," noted school officials, highlighting the collaborative effort of the entire school community in reaching this milestone.
This historic designation positions HSA Columbus High School at the forefront of innovative education in Ohio, setting new standards for charter schools across the state.
