We are delighted to announce that our HSA performing dance class has earned a coveted spot at the Language and Arts Festival in Chicago! This marks an incredible achievement, as HSA Columbus High will now be represented by two outstanding groups at this prestigious event.
The qualifying piece showcases an innovative fusion of diverse dance styles, including:
Pop
Jazz
Hip-hop
Traditional African dance
African American folk dance
This powerful performance, created in honor of Black History Month, is set to a compelling soundtrack featuring protest and activist songs by Black artists. The piece celebrates the rich intersection of movement, voice, and cultural history.
