Students in Ms. Mulroy's English III class recently completed a creative design project based on the classic novel, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. After reading the book, students researched the aesthetics of the 1920's and incorporated Art Deco styles into their designs of items inspired by characters, settings, symbols, and themes in the book. Finished products include beaded jewelry, hats, headbands, models of Gatsby's car, dresses sewn from scratch, and more! This project was made possible through a grant from OSLN and Battelle.
