November 11, 2023, TECH CORPS Hackathon, a statewide competition was held in Columbus, Dayton, and Elyria. More than 150 high school students from all over the state were part of the 12-hour event that culminated with the student’s presentation of their app. That means 8% of the district (Columbus, Dayton, Elyria) participants were our students.
They learned how to use SwiftUI and created mobile apps to address community needs, while also receiving support and guidance from technology professionals from the community.
The students in green were members of a winning team and they will be invited to the Ohio Statehouse on December 6th to be recognized for their accomplishments during Computer Science Education Week.
