In a continuing streak of academic excellence, Obed Kumih, a freshman student, has been awarded a scholarship to attend the Harvard C-CHANGE Youth Summit at Harvard University this summer. This selection comes on the heels of the school's recent success at the STEM competition at CONSEF.
Kumih joins two other students from the institution who have secured positions in elite STEM summer programs at Harvard and MIT, showcasing the school's growing presence in prestigious academic initiatives.
The Harvard C-CHANGE Youth Summit will provide Kumih with hands-on experience in projects focusing on climate change, equity, and public health. During the week-long program, participants will collaborate with leading scientists, health practitioners, policymakers, youth activists, and energy innovators. A key component of the program involves developing an Action Plan that participants will implement in their local communities.
"This opportunity will allow our students to bring back valuable knowledge and initiatives to benefit our community," said Mr. Oktay Ince, Ed.S., Assistant Principal of Academics/STEM.
This selection represents another milestone in the school's growing list of academic achievements in STEM fields, demonstrating its commitment to fostering scientific excellence and environmental leadership among its students.
