Ms. Rivas reports that all Health Science Capstone students are attending 16 hours of clinicals at long-term care centers. This is a requirement to be able to sit for the licensing board, where they will test both in a knowledge & a skills portion. This part of the course where they get trained to be STNAs (State Tested Nursing Assistants) will earn them 3 college credits upon successful completion & passing of the exam.
"I'm so proud of these kids who will now be able to sit for the state licensing exam & skill portion to become State Tested Nursing Assistants."
